Thomas Jefferson High School for Science
and Technology (home page) is a public high school in Alexandria,
Virginia. It was setup as a science and
technology magnet school. Currently TJHS
astronomy and physics students are working on
affiliated projects with the Explorers of the
Universe. Lee Ann Hennig
teaches the astronomy students in her
planetarium. Her students are working on
individual case studies and are collaborating
with Bill Rodriguez's
students at the University School of Nashville on
common cases of variable stars. They are using
concept maps and vee diagrams to plan and carry
out their investigations. Jerry
Berenty is the physics
