Synopsis of Presentation:

The density of technology underserved students on  HBCU campuses is  six to eight times greater than at other institutions of higher education and is about 86% African American. Still in many if not most cases, technology infusion in classroom course contents is laudable but remains optional as of the year 2001. For many students, this  inconsistency simply compounds the impacts of prior limitations in  technology access and use in the home, in  secondary schools, and  in high schools.  The intent of this conference presentation is to focus on "solutions" to  this situation among HBCU students.
